HP W1907

SYMPTOM:
Picture would disappear after just a few seconds. Power light stayed on. Basically the CCFL backlights were shutting down due to a problem somewhere within the backlight circuit. Inverter, CCFL, power to the inverter???

PROBLEM:
Turned out that one of the CCFLS had prematurely failed, thus causing the inverter to sense a problem when it was first turned on and ultimately going into fail safe mode (no power to lamps).

SOLUTION:
Changed the entire screen out in this case. I hate taking panels apart to change the bulbs, and I just so happened to have another 19" widescreen panel (from a Gateway FPD1975w) that wasn't being used. Plug and play, now it's on it's way! Another satisfied customer ( I presume). Total cost was as advertised...

$40 FLAT RATE LCD MONITOR REPAIR!!!
